Hikster: The New Hiker's Best Friend

Hikster; are you already familiar with the name? Presented during the popular show "Dragon’s Den" last April by young entrepreneur Claire Deguelle, the online platform Hikster seems extremely promising.

By working in partnership with Rando Québec, Hikster's new web and mobile platform is designed to help hikers find the ideal trail through a smart search engine. Thus, you’ll be able to select the perfect trek according to your own criteria - such as distance, level of difficulty, pricing or places of interest - then to access a detailed fact sheet of the trail.

More than 850 available hiking trails

Hikster already lists 9,000 km of trails in Quebec, from hiking in summer to snowshoeing in winter. Restaurants and accommodations nearby are also listed, while a hikers' comment section is just a click away, for maximum interaction and friendliness.

In the next few years, Hikster intends to widen its horizons expanding its presence throughout Europe and the United States, as well as mountain biking, skiing and canoeing! The app has been available since May; have you tried it yet?
